I’ve been a huge fan of Beardilizer for a long time. I’m a user of their beard growth supplement and I love it. I tried them all during a few weeks awhile back. The pills, the cream and spray. You can read em all here – Beardilizer 10 day review – Imagine to my surprise, and utterly delight when I heard that Beardilizer launched a series of Beard Oils, I’m so happy that I get to try and review them. So, let’s get on with the actual Beardilizer beard oil review.

The quality of the actual oil is the same in all scents, meaning that I felt that the consistency, absorption and application was the same on all different scents. Therefor I will use the same oil text for all, but do more in depth on the actual scent.

All oils contain Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Parfum (Fragrance), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) Leaf Oil, Ricinus Communis (Black Castor) Oil.

They nourishes and revitalizes the facial hair, follicles and skin and are 100% Natural which means vegan friendly. My beard just drinks the oil like crazy and it feels super soft and cozy afterwards. A great oil that gets even better with all the different scents! The oil is a clear liquid, good consistency!

Beardilizer Dirty South Bacon Scent

Beardilizer Dirty South BaconThis scent is once of the scents I was most curious about, and it’s only because it’s freaking BACON! I mean, who doesn’t like bacon? (vegetarians excluded of course). The thing I was afraid of though, was that it would be too powerful and overtaking, scent wise. Sure, it has a strong scent, and you should try different amounts when you apply it, just to be sure it’s not too much for you!

So, does it smell like bacon?
It sure does, salty hickory smoked bacon. Imagine a fire, in the woods. You and a couple of friends, around that fire, at night, all you hear is the roaring camp fire sparkling, cracking. You sit there, quiet and deep in your own thoughts. You wrap a piece of bacon around a stick, put in the fire and wait for it to cook. After a few minutes you take it out of the fire, pull it towards your mouth and feel that crisp, salty smokey amazing mouth watering bacon scent. Your eyes starts to glimmer, a tear almost forms in the corner of your eye and you hope that this night will never end.

As soon as that bacon touches your tongue it starts to melt, you get goosebumps and shiver of well being. Oh, did I mention, you get that same feeling from applying it to your beard. Isn’t that wonderful? I know it is! The oil got this sweet after scent that’s totally amazing and warming. I wore it at work and people asked who smelled so good!

After about 20-30 minutes the strongest notes dissipates and left is a pleasant and wonderful sweet aroma, it still reminds you of that bacon scent tho.

A word of advice
As with all oils with strong scents, be careful with how much you apply, because the scent can overpower and irritate. Use in moderation and try your way to the perfect amount. I used about 3-4 drops, and I have a pretty big beard, and it was enough!

Final thoughts:
I wasn’t sure in the beginning when I took a wiff straight out of the bottle, but after applying it a few times and really letting the scent sink in, I love it. It is strong, I won’t lie, and if you take a little bit too much you might want to wash it out. But 2-4 drops in a medium length beard will be perfect. So, if you love bacon, smokey hickory bacon, this is the oil for you! A really cozy yet rough and distinguished scent. I will use mine often!

These oils all come in 4 oz/120 ml flasks, so you get a lot!
