Is this how badgers smell?
Because then I want a badger for a pet!!!!
A first glance at the Badger Beard Oil bottle shows that it’s bigger, or wider, then your usual beard oil bottle. And it got a huge bottle opening! It feel robust and compact. And the carton it comes in looks great, it’s really stylish and nice, featuring a map, a badger and all other info you need to know about the oil. The first sniff I took I thought to myself that: “Hmm, it smells like medicine“. And it does… at first! But that quickly changed after I put it in my beard. The look alone on this product would be enough for me to buy it from a shelf, it looks very nice, thoughtful and sophisticated.
Looking at the bottle again you see that it’s wide, very wide. It’s also pretty hard getting the right amount of oil out of the bottle because of the wide opening. I got my hands full the first time, luckily I could pour some of it back. Otherwise I really like the bottle. It looks nice, good size and great print work. The Badger Beard Oil packaging is great looking, featuring a badger* dressed up as a navigator/pilot.
Scent wise I was a bit skeptical at first, it really smells like medicine before you get it out of the bottle. I guess it’s the concentrated amount in the bottle that does it. But you can’t try a beard oil without applying it to your beard! Anyway, I took some oil in my hand and started to massage it into my beard….
Cardamom!!! I love cardamom. I have cardamom in everything, pancakes, cake, coffee, hell I even sometimes sprinkle some on my steaks! Somehow the cardamom scent got released when I applied it to my beard, and as Chris Kael from FFDP would say… “Shit, yes son!”, it’s amazing! I really smells like cardamom after about a minute, a sweet and warm scent. I love it!

Final thought: Although I wasn’t a fan of the scent at first, just sniffing the bottle, it grew on me as soon as I applied in my beard. That sweet and wonderful scent of cardamom just made me smile! Just give it a minute after application, and it will take you to scent heaven! :)
