Weirdy Beardy The Raven & Woodpecker beard oil
Weirdy Beardy, oh how I have wanted to try these products for so long. The name sparked my interest a few months back, as well as the logo. And being a fan of Australia, I could not resist. And a few weeks ago they finally arrived, and to my surprise the bottles were huge, not the standard 30 ml bottles, but big 50 ml, these are gonna last me quite a while. I also got a Weirdy Beard Beard Buff, a kind of a face and beard scrub with a fantastic citrusy scent, but I’m getting to that one in another post, as I haven’t had time to test it thoroughly. But I’m really excited about it!
“Made by a man with a beard”
My favorite quote on a beard product. Made by a man with a beard, that’s all I need to buy this product. That is the ultimate seal of approval and selling point. Haha, amazing!
Starting out the with Weirdy Beardy oil – The Raven – The sandalwood come out pretty clear, but then you have the other scents lingering in the back, patchouli, rosemary, white pepper, sweet orange and so on, these other scents for some sort of beard oil symbiosis of joy. First you have the sandalwood, we all know that scent, but then comes the other and totally turns everything upside down, it twists, turns and kick things into motion. The blend of scents is hard for my brain to comprehend and I almost end up in some sort of euphoric state where I can’t stop sniffing my beard. I take deep breaths, inhale and almost taste it on my tongue. The scent it really crisp, invigorating and uplifting. At the end there is a sting of spicyness that gets me alert and focused. I applied this oil in the morning, and I woke up faster then I usually do, that kick and spark is just what I needed!
It reminds me of oiling up a piece of art in woodshop class, or putting on a nice oily finish on a wooden structure. I love it, it’s really, really nice! I keep sniffing my beard throughout the day.
The oil itself is clear, almost completely see through, a bit runny but easy applicable, my beard soaked it up like a sponge, making extremely soft, but manageable. It gives my beard a fantastic shine, wonderful smell and it feels great, not oily at all. A fantastic oil!

Continuing with Weirdy Beardy oil – Woodpecker – If I hadn’t become completely sold on Weirdy Beardy beard oils by testing out The Raven, Woodpecker would’ve closed the deal. WOW. This is a clean, crisp and citrusy yet sweet oil, it reminds me of some sort of drink or beverage. It’s very citrusy, but with a kick… or a peck?! in the right direction. It’s fresh beyond fresh and a real winner. This is marketed as a daily use oil, and I would gladly use it everyday, all night and around the clock. My fiancee usually doesn’t notice when I try on new oils, but with this one she said: “Oooh, you smell gooood”. And yes, I do, thanks to the Woodpecker.
Weirdy Beardy have mixed some really nice ingredients in this and got the proportions absolutely right. I feel healthy, I feel strong and I feel like wide awake using this oil, somehow the clean, crisp citrus scent, mixed with patchouli, sandalwood, may chang etc, gives it a sweet, fruity aftertone. As with The Raven, I feel like sniffing this all day long!
The oil is a bit darker then The Raven, a yellow’ish tone with good flow. Just as good absorption as the other one and just as easy to use. A fine oil, a magnificent oil, a masterpiece!
